Bring cup of broth and 3 cups water to boil in dutch oven. Wash, strip hard cores out of kale leaves, chop kale, slice onion, parsnip, quarter potatoes. Lay kale in broth, potatoes over that, onions next, sausage or other meat on top. Close lid. Steam hard 20 minutes. If kale is too much to fit, drop as much as will fit in boiling broth a few minutes, then add rest. Kale will shrink lots!

Instead of laying the sausage, other meat or tofu on top, slice and fry in butter first, then lay on top of kale for an even more pungent meal.- 3
Test potatoes with fork. When done, Slice sausage thin, mash kale, onion, potatoes, mix and stir with sausage till smooth. Now taste and add pepper if desired. Drizzle lemon juice over or sprinkle with vinegar or cover with gravy. Stir well. Serve, enjoy. - 2
